How do I get my stuff back from my ex-boyfriend without doing anything illegal?

I just broke up with my boyfriend and left some very personal, albeit not valuable, stuff at his apartment. I really need the stuff back for sentimental reasons, peace of mind. He won’t return it. Any suggestions?

Sue for it. You can take it to small claims court and go from there.
You’ll need to contact a lawyer. It won’t be cheap.
Next time, get your stuff out before you break up.
If you seriously want it, threaten him that you will take it to court.
if you lived there to the police department will escort you there to retrive your stuff,if not ask him again and explain why its important top you. probably though you are just going to have to do w3ith out it and chalk it up to a learning experience.
If this stuff is important enough you can file a motion in small claims court and get a court order for him to return it.
Black mail… It’ll scare him… Have you ever gotten a black envelope its terrifying..

If you were living with him , the police MAY help you recover your stuff. Its worth asking them .
